Weather warning: the very hot and humid section begins today; Heat advisory issued
Here we are! Hot, humid air has arrived, and it will stay until Saturday. We are on a “heat advisory” today with an “excessive heat watch” for Thursday and Friday.
We are already feeling the heat this morning with temperatures and dew points in the 70s to start the day. We also follow a few quick showers and areas of fog that have developed. These will end early / mid-morning with skies becoming partly sunny for the afternoon. As the skies clear up, temperatures will soar with highs in the upper 80s inland.

Combined with the very high humidity, “feel” temperatures will hit the upper 90s.
TO THE BEACH: Not as hot as inland… We will start the day with a brief downpour, scattered fog and low clouds, then gradually become partially sunny. It will be very humid with low clouds and fog returning in the evening and at night.

It stays uncomfortably hot and sticky overnight, with temperatures in the 80s inland at night and then in the 70s late at night. In addition, we are likely to see low clouds and fog, first on the coast and then extending inland.
While today it will be hot, the worst heat / humidity is happening Thursday and Friday, with highs in the low in the mid-90s and the heat index up to 99-105.
The heat finally breaks out over the weekend with the passage of a cold front. Things still look pretty hot and humid on Saturday with a possible scattered thunderstorm. By Sunday, the more comfortable air will be in place with sunshine and low humidity.
