UC Davis changes start after 6 hospitalizations due to extreme heat

UC Davis officials announced they are making changes to Saturday’s graduation ceremony due to the forecasted extreme heat. Friday’s ceremony was canceled midway through due to at least six people hospitalized with heat-related illnesses. The UC Davis Fire Department received at least 36 heat-related calls for service from those in attendance at the opening ceremony on Friday morning, a UC Davis spokesperson told KCRA. 3.
