These states will likely see snowfall in the next 24 hours

Light to moderate rainfall/snowfall is very likely to occur over Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand over the next 24 hours, said the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in a Sunday forecast.
In addition to this, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will receive isolated and scattered rainfall over the next 24 hours. Dry weather will persist in the states thereafter. In eastern Uttar Pradesh fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is likely.
Additionally, cold snap conditions over Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh will continue for the next few days.
IMD also said minimum temperatures are 5-7°C above normal over Gujarat; 3-5°C over Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh and 1-2°C over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and West Bengal and near normal over other parts of northern India.
It predicted no significant change in minimum temperatures over most parts of northwest India and Madhya Pradesh over the next two days and a drop of 4-6C thereafter.
Dense fog conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan over the next two days and conditions cold day over these areas on Monday.
Cold snap conditions are also expected in isolated pockets over these areas from January 25-27.
Dense fog conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Madhya Pradesh over the next three days and cold days on January 25-26.
The meteorological service also forecast light rain over some parts of North Goa and isolated places over South Goa over the next three to four hours.
According to IMD, the clouds generally move in the northeast direction.
“Light rain very likely at a few locations over North Goa and isolated locations over South Goa district over the next 3-4 hours. Clouds generally move in the North-East direction,” IMD Goa said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, a cold spell hit Uttar Pradesh Kanpur on Sunday. People were seen comforting each other around bonfires. The meteorological department said dense fog prevailed in isolated pockets over eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Several parts of Jammu and Kashmir also received fresh snowfall on Sunday.
Due to weather conditions, at least 13 trains are late and hence arrive late in Delhi today.
