With no Premier League football due to take place until February 5, many of England’s top-flight star names are enjoying a rare mid-season break.

Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Jorginho and more have decided to move abroad after being granted club-sanctioned leave, allowing them to rest and recharge ahead of the final months of the campaign 2021-22.

GOAL examines where some of the Premier League‘s biggest names have gone overseas, with Dubai proving a popular escape.

Where have the best Premier League players been on holiday?

Many Manchester United stars have made the trip to Dubai, including Cristiano Ronaldowho has been active on social media over the winter break, posting images of himself with partner Georgina Rodriguez and children.

Marcus Rashford is also in the United Arab Emirates, where he showed how he is working on his fitness as he aims to become a regular in Ralf Rangnick’s starting XI at Old Trafford.

Speculation regarding jesse lingardthe future is bright, with GOAL able to confirm talks with Newcastle over a loan switch are on the verge of collapsing, and he has also flown to Dubai for warm-weather training.

Bruno Fernandes is another who has been spotted performing training drills in his free time, although the midfielder has decided to return to Portugal to work with top coach Mario Ferreira.

English central defender Harry Maguiremeanwhile, played golf with the Everton keeper Jordan Pickfordalthough there is no chance of a holiday for people like Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Fredwho are on international duty.

Premier League leaders Manchester City are also taking the opportunity to soak up the sun and get away from it all this week, with Kevin De Bruyne having gone to the Maldives for a break with his family.

Jack Greish and Ruben Diasmeanwhile, are both in Dubai, as is the Aston Villa midfielder John McGinnand Portugal international Bernardo Silva enjoy a getaway to Sri Lanka.

Ederson and Gabriel Jesus joined the Brazil national team for their World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, while Zack Steffen left with the United States.

Scorer for City in the 1-1 draw with Southampton, Aymeric Laporterelaxes in the Bahamian sun, and teammate Ilkay Gundogan opted for a trip to the United States, where he is staying in Los Angeles.

He’s not the only Premier League player to lead the United States, with the Chelsea duo mason mount and Jorginho having been spotted catching an NBA game in Miami, as they watched the Heat’s win over the New York Knicks at FTX Arena.

Despite the highly publicized discussion on the ground between Romelu Lukaku and hakim ziyech during the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Brighton earlier in January, the pair were spotted vacationing together at an unknown location.

Central defender Antonio Rudigerwhose future remains uncertain as his contract expires, took a trip to Sierra Leone, where he was enthusiastically welcomed after arriving in his mother’s native country.

As good as Edouard Mendywho is in service after the CAN with Senegal, Christian Pulisic is also on international duty with the USMNT, which has a busy schedule of World Cup qualifiers against El Salvador, Canada and Honduras, and Thiago Silva is with Brazil.

A selection of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool players have also traveled overseas, with James Milner, Andrew Robertson and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain all in Dubai.

The tastes of Alisson and Fabinho left with Brazil, while Mohammad Salah and Sadio Mane are still participating in CAN and have reached the quarter-finals. Takumi Minamino is part of the Japanese squad and featured in the 2-0 win over China on January 27.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will travel to Dubai for a training camp until February 2, with Mikel Arteta using the trip to round up the players, as well as being an opportunity to work on fitness and tactics.

Indeed, several actors, including Gabriel Martinelli and Bernd Lenohave already traveled to the United Arab Emirates, where they are resting and recuperating before the rest of the team flies out.
