Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast December 17, 2021 – Ohio Ag Net

Dry weather today as we are in for a little break between waves of moisture moving over the eastern corn belt. WE should start with sun today and have additional clouds this afternoon. The second round of patchy rain showers enters southern Ohio this evening, then moves north overnight and throughout the day tomorrow. We would expect 100% coverage over Ohio with 0.1 to 1 rains. The heaviest rains will occur over the southern half of the state where the rains last longer and we may see better potential for thunderstorms. All actions will be performed at sunset or shortly after tomorrow. The map below shows the potential for 24 hour humidity from tonight to tomorrow night.
Sunday we find ourselves partly sunny and cooler, with temperatures below normal. Then the rest of next week we go back and forth on either side of normal, but we end up with an average for the week slightly warmer than normal. We should see partly to mostly sunny skies Monday through Friday.
Rain showers on Friday evening attempt to push back with a minor and quick system for Christmas Eve until sunrise on Christmas morning. Rainfall totals can be .25 ″: -. 75 ″ with 80% coverage. But, the humidity goes away quickly, and we should end up with a dry Christmas rest as the clouds give way to the sun later. Dry weather also continues in the 26th. The extended period is also dry, with no major threat of humidity from the 27th to the 2nd. We can see some showers at the start of the period, but nothing dramatic.
