London Lightning win Game 2 against Windsor Express with 107-97 win – London

The London Lightning produced a big third quarter to lead the series 2-0 by beating the Windsor Express 107-97 on Tuesday night at Budweiser Gardens.
With the Express up five points at halftime, London beat Windsor 34-17 to start the second half and pull away a National Basketball League of Canada Championship Series win.
The Lightning showed depth as five players scored in double figures led by Jermaine Haley who had 27 points.

On the day Terry Thomas was named NBLC Sixth Man of the Year, the Dartmouth, N.S. native was placed in the starting lineup by London head coach Doug Plumb and stayed on. the pitch most of the night as he played 46 of the game’s 48 minutes.
Thomas finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Thomas averaged 17 points per game in the regular season, which ranked him ninth overall in the league.
Amir Williams also had a double-double for the Lightning with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Cameron Forte also picked up 16 points coming off the bench for London.

William Claiborne had a team-high 27 points for the Express, while Billy White added 24.
Both teams shot below 30 percent from three-point range.
Game 3 is Friday, May 19 in Windsor, Ont.
In the other NBLC semi-final series, the Sudbury Five bounced back from a Game 1 loss to blast the KW Titans 112-86 to tie their 1-1 series at Kitchener-Waterloo.
