Arsenal take steps to secure Leicester City transfer and are ‘convinced’ of the deal
Arsenal’s pursuit of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans could be close to being finalized after the international break.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Belgian for some time now and Mikel Arteta is keen to add the 25-year-old to his squad ahead of the 2022-23 season. Tielemans’ contract at City expires next summer and he hasn’t ruled out leaving the club during his time with the Belgium national team.
Tielemans first joined the Foxes on a short loan in 2019 under Claude Puel before signing permanently the following summer as one of Brendan Rodgers’ first transfers in charge. The former Monegasque made 158 appearances for the Foxes and scored 24 goals.

Fresh Foxes transfer demands made as £34m star continues to be linked
Leicester City are heading for an “intense duel” with AC Milan for Club Brugge striker Charles De Ketelaere, according to journalist Alexandre Breackman.
The Foxes have had the 21-year-old on their radar since January, but their failure to secure European football for next season would have ruled out a move to the King Power Stadium this summer.
It had already been reported in Belgium that De Ketelaere’s ideal new club would offer Champions League football and AC Milan were pressured as favorites to sign the striker, with the Serie A champions also keen to sign Noa Lang of Club Brugge.
De Ketelaere has two years left on his contract in Belgium and has shown no clear indication of extending his stay at the Jan Breydel Stadium. The striker, who can play anywhere on the front line, scored 14 goals and provided a further seven assists in 33 Jupiler Pro League appearances last season.
