Leeds United learn key off-season date ahead of Premier League run-in
The 2022/23 Premier League fixtures are set to be released on Thursday June 16. There are just over six weeks until the start of the campaign on August 6 – a week earlier than the current season due to the World Cup in Qatar – which is set to take place between November and December.
With Leeds United hoping to beat the drop and stay in the Premier League next season, it’s a date to remember for the white faithful who may already be planning ahead. Jesse Marsch’s side currently sit nine points above the relegation zone following their 3-0 win over Watford.
A statement from the Premier League read: “For planning purposes, please note that the Premier League fixture schedule for the 2022/23 season will be published at 09:00 on Thursday June 16, 2022.

Leeds United’s hopes of avoiding the drop and being involved when the Premier League announce those fixtures were bolstered at the weekend, with Jesse Marsch’s side continuing their recent streak with a 3-0 win at Watford, 19th. Burnley, who held the final relegation spot, were then beaten by bottom-placed Norwich to leave Leeds nine points clear of the drop zone before the run-in.
