Glasgow weather forecast as the Met Office predicts a dreich week for the city

Last weekend we struck gold with our weather here in Glasgow and we were lucky.

People ventured out for a walk in the park, visited the markets, fired up their barbecues and finally, for the first time ever, wore their sunglasses – and felt that summer was definitely on the way.

However, before we (hopefully) reach the hot season, we expect to have a rather dreich week ahead.

And while there are no weather warnings currently in place, there are rain forecasts – and lots of them.

According to BBC and Met Office meteorologists, heavy rain is expected for much of the day (March 9) with more rain forecast for Thursday.

Fortunately, the sun should make its appearance from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday as well as on Saturday between the same hours.

Although the sun is expected to come out and brighten the day a bit, rain is still forecast alongside that, so unfortunately it won’t match last weekend’s weather.

So let’s take a look at next week…
