Rohit Sharma’s approach in most games is not a problem, but the management of the Indian team under head coach Rahul Dravid will have their own problems if Dhawan, 37, is their choice for the Next year’s ODI World Cup 2023.

Virat Kohli’s endless chess saga only added to the problems and is also a big factor, but the senior openers playing first two overs early on didn’t indicate a positive mood either. With the ODI World Cup still 15 months away,

serious deliberation is needed on whether Rohit, Dhawan and Kohli will be India’s number 1, 2 and 3 in the future.
