4WARN Forecast: Heat and Humidity Return | Weather

Picture perfect July 4th across middle Tennessee and southern Ketucky today. If you fire up the grill or head for fireworks tonight, the weather is still beautiful. Overnight lows will fall in the upper 60s by tomorrow morning.
It will be a hot and humid Monday with temperatures going well into the 90s in the afternoon. We will have a lot of sun around, but I also think we will notice that it gets wetter in the afternoon. We’re going to stay in the 90s on Tuesday and save the sun for the day. Expect more clouds to mix in on Wednesday as well as an afternoon downpour or thunderstorm. If we can avoid some rain during the day, we’ll have another chance to hit 90. Showers and storms will become more scattered by Thursday, with highs returning in the upper 80s.
Our weather model will then remain unstable until the end of the week and this coming weekend. Temperatures will range from the upper 80s to the lower 90s Thursday through Sunday. Every day we’ll have to watch for a downpour or a thunderstorm, but it doesn’t look like it’s something that will “erase” one of these days. Just keep an eye on the sky and have your umbrella close at hand.
